Welcome to our Women of the Bible block of the month mystery quilt! Together we will be sewing 12 quilt blocks, one per month. Each block will be focused on an inspirational woman from scripture, and we’ll be diving into her history, her struggles, her contributions, and what we can learn from her to apply to our own lives today.
Like our other foundation paper pieced blocks, each Women of the Bible quilt block comes with:
- suggested scripture passages to read
- introduction to the woman in the block, including scriptural and historical information
- devotional based around the faith-filled life she led
- reflection questions to connect her story to our own life
- three quilt block size variations (8×8, 10×10, and 12×12)
- …plus an instructional video showing you how to foundation paper piece if you’ve never done it before. See below for video, and if you’re new to foundation paper piecing, here are my favorite supplies to get you started 🙂
Each of the quilt blocks will be discounted during the month it’s released, and all upcoming block releases will be done through the twice monthly newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Sign up here and keep an eye on your inbox for the next Women of the Bible quilt block released on the first of each month. We’ll also be doing a guessing game giveaway on both YouTube and Instagram, so you’ll want to follow along to play!

Let’s talk fabric. For this Women of the Bible quilt, I’ll be using primarily solids from Robert Kaufman. I have a bunch of fabric left over from making both the Jesse Tree quilt and the Holy Week quilt, so it’s a great fit to continue working with the solids. A fabric variety pack will be a great place to get you started, though you’ll also want to add in a few shades of browns for skin and hair tones.
I’ll be making all 12 blocks in the 10″x10″ size and assembling them into a simple quilt separated by white sashing as shown below; I’ll keep updating the image each month as new lovely women are added to the quilt. Please note that the blocks are not going to be released in chronological order, so if sewing your blocks in order is important to you *and* you plan on making all 12 blocks, please don’t begin sewing them together until the end. So excited to continue to sew and grow in faith with you!
…watch our Women of the Bible Mystery Quilt Pattern grow throughout the year!

I would prefer to download the Women Of The Bible Mystery Quilt Block patterns, rather than have them shipped. Is this possible? While I am more than happy to pay for each monthly pattern, I do not wish to pay the added fee for 12 months of S&H.
Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi Donita! Great question – yes, these quilt patterns are ONLY available in a digital format, so you are able to instantly download them at purchase. So glad this is the format you prefer! Happy sewing to you, and glad you’ll be joining in the quilt along.
