Just a quick post today…working through this month’s Mighty Lucky challenge, focused on sashiko stitching, a style of geometric repeating patterns. I had a bit of white fabric left over from a recent project, so used this as the base for my 5″x5″ square. The thread, from Sulky, is an amazing blue-to-white variegated one – don’t you love how the colors change?
This was a tougher challenge, as I think I made my grid too small. Each block is 1″x1″, and I didn’t mark the smaller lines in my grid, which left a bit more of eyeballing than I should have had. Definitely appreciated the challenge, and will go back to this style again!
