I think this series is a great idea…with busy households and lots of kids…romancing your spouse can be kind of back-burnered. I hope to write a post about good date night ideas so that I can share it here. Thanks for this series!

Monica, I'm already looking forward to reading your article. I couldn't agree more with you, too. (I say this as I sit in one room with my husband in the other, both of us plugged away at our computers – ha!).

I did do a blog post, but I have another good date idea for all the foodies out there. If you love fine dining (like me) and are on a budget(also like me) go out to your favorite fancy restaurant for lunch instead of dinner. We've been able to treat ourselves to things like mushroom balsamic arugula flatbread and truffle mac and cheese for a pretty reasonable price. Recently we were able to go out to our local Japanese steakhouse and get hibachi lunches for around $12 instead of around $25 for dinner. We even had the whole restaurant to ourselves for most of our lunch because we got there right when it opened! We had a wonderful and much needed afternoon of spending time with each other.

Sarah, that *is* a great idea. It's amazing how much less expensive the same meal is when you have it for lunch and not dinner. Thanks for the tip!
