A lot of beginners feel overwhelmed before they even begin, but today I’m going to walk you through your very first Christian quilt, step-by-step. If you’ve ever wondered if you could actually make a quilt like this, I promise you that you can!

We’re going to use simple squares with Scripture and build a beautiful quilt around them, so you end up with something meaningful and completely doable. These scripture squares are the heart of the quilt – you’re literally building your quilt around God’s Word. This is a great beginner project because everything builds step-by-step. We’ll begin with using these six 2″ scripture squares, around which we build a simple log cabin style design. From there, we just build outward one strip at a time. The video below will walk you through each step in making this beautiful Christian scripture quilt.

Remember…this is beginner-friendly, you don’t need to be an expert, and just take it one step at a time. If something doesn’t feel perfect, that’s okay. Your first quilt is not about perfection, but about learning and finishing something you can be proud of. You can do this!
