Description
Daniel lived in the kingdom of the Medes and Persians, who did not worship God. A rule in the kingdom was made that its people could only pray to the king; Daniel continued praying to God as he had always done. Several of the supervisors and satraps that worked for the king felt outshone by Daniel, as Daniel was filled with the Holy Spirit. They turned Daniel in for praying to God, and Daniel was sentenced to the lion’s den. God protected Daniel, keeping him safe. When the king came to the den the next day, he found that God had protected Daniel and kept him safe. He realized the greatness of God, and declared God’s power to all the nations.
