Description
This lovely pattern includes instructions for making a reversible Lent table runner. On the Lent side, each block has a subtle cross inside it, with the lighter pink (representing the third week of Lent) radiating from behind it. The unique placement of the blocks, as shared in the pattern, make for a beautiful color design.
Finish your quilt with an Easter-themed backing fabric to make it reversible; add the butterfly applique to share the joy of the resurrection. Instructions for making this beautiful butterfly, along with the templates, are included. Butterflies have long been an image of the resurrection; they can be seen as the insect who “dies” as a caterpillar, is buried in the cocoon, and emerges in a new life. Beautiful, isn’t it?
If you enjoy this project, I invite you to check out our other table runners, like our Advent Table Runner – or even our larger Lent quilt, which comes in three different sizes.
Dimensions: This pattern includes the instructions to make a 6-foot table runner with optional sashing. Of course, you can always adjust the number of blocks to make a runner that fits the size you need.
Level: Advanced Beginner. Assumes basic knowledge of quilting terminology.
