Do you remember the beautiful Kaleidoscope Quilt for Advent and Lent that were released in February? I loved this quilt pattern as it worked for BOTH Lent and Advent with the mix of purples and pinks. The subtle crosses and crown of thorns mixed into the blocks added a quiet faith element, and the secondary pattern created by the alternating colors in the corners of each block added visual interest. I had *the best* hope of making at least six more, if not nine, before Advent so I could share with you the full quilt.
…the best laid plans…you know how that goes…
Here we are, almost a year later, and those three blocks are still staring at me from the quilt wall.
I *really* want to finish this quilt, so had a fun idea: WHAT IF WE MADE IT TOGETHER?
- In exchange for a free pattern, you sew one extra block and send it to me (I’ll let you know which block # you are). You have until December 31 to mail your block in.
- I’ll assemble all the blocks together into a final quilt, creating a video tutorial on assembly + quilting ideas.
- If we can get nine individual to submitted a block, each will have their name entered into a lottery and the winner of the lottery wins the final quilt!
Here’s an up-close view of the fabrics I used so you can try to color coordinate as closely as possible based on your stash, as well as see fabric placement. There are additional images in the Kaleidoscope Pattern page, too. This will end up being a beautiful scrappy quilt in the end, but to make the pattern visible it will be important that we all try to coordinate overall shades and fabric placement.

This could be so fun!! So what do you say – are you in? First nine people to reply to the email (or send me an email at: hello@faithandfabricdesign.com) get a spot!
This is a beautiful quilt, would like to participate
