Block Completed: 3/21/17
Fabrics Used: Riley Blake, unknown scraps
Ann was a lovely block to make. I switched modes a tad on this one, and incorporated some soft yellow fabric I had on hand; since both fish – and the hair of both mermaids – was yellow, the pale yellow fabric fit nicely into this piece.
As I’ve been cutting into – and through! – this adorable fabric, I’m becoming more aware that I’m running low on some of the prints. This block has two fun mermaids – do you see the one in the upper right and lower left? Each of these lovely ladies is cut in half because they were *already* cut…their partial image appeared at both the top and bottom of the fat quarter I was working on. I really don’t want to waste any fabric, so using these partial prints on the edges of the block was a great solution.
Happy Farmer’s Tuesday!
